Bio
Beth Moran has been making Kombucha for her entire extended family for years. She has tried numerous teas and flavoring ingredients to make her fermented tea a refreshing and delicious beverage. Beth and her husband Joe, have a keen interest in fermentation in general and understand the importance of a healthy gut to improve their immunity system.
The Morans held a very successful and informative class on Home Wine Making in 2019 at Stoney Creek Farm. They have also made vinegar, sour kraut, and sourdough bread. Curing meat is a different type of fermentation which they have done for years with hams and bacon.
Beth grew up in Jackson, TN on a dairy farm where she and her siblings were a big part of the daily working of the dairy. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics Education. She was a stay-at-home mom to their 4 children, homeschooling and being very involved in their education at public school. Teaching Sunday School, substitute teaching at school, and then being a kindergarten teacher assistant for 13 years are some of the ways she has been involved in education. However, the somewhat old-fashioned idea of homemaking has always been the most important aspect of Beth’s life.
