Kid’s Bug Scavenger Hunt

Apr 30, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Kid’s Bug Scavenger Hunt
Saturday, April 30, 10 – 11:30 am
Cost $20

How many bugs can you find on a farm?  Find out when you go on this imaginative and fun scavenger hunt!

Bugs are part of the ecosystem that provide many benefits to our natural environment.  It’s exciting to learn all of the different jobs that bugs do to keep nature healthy and clean.

The Bug Scavenger Hunt will start on the back porch of the Stoney Creek Barn and go across the creek and several acres of the farm.  Kids should wear sturdy shoes and layered clothing depending on the weather.  After the hike, kids can also go feed the goats and walk around the farm/play on the swing set. Parents/Grandparents are welcome to bring a lunch and enjoy time outdoors on the farm.
Note: Any parents who want to drop off older children, must sign a farm liability waiver.
Stoney Creek Farm has been searching for someone to lead kid activities here in Franklin and Cori Williams is the perfect teacher for making every class FUN! We are adding more kid’s classes at affordable prices throughout the year. Your kids will LOVE her innovative teaching style!  Healthy learning environments have an effective teaching strategy where students can learn positive participation and that is what Cori emulates.
