When you call Stoney Creek Farm, you’ll hear this in our voicemail:

Our farm is your classroom.

Ever since starting Stoney Creek Farm more than 14 years ago, we’ve been passionate about educating others on the value of sustainable living.

With each conference, class, book, and resource, our mission is to share the powerful impact sustainable living can have—on your mindset, on your wallet, and on our world.

Sustainable living helps your mindset.

Sustainable living focuses on simple living, and your mindset is all the better for it.

I never thought I’d ever move back to a farm. Sure, I had grown up on one, but I was determined to leave that behind and make a mark for myself in the corporate world.

I climbed the corporate ladder, but with each passing year, I felt more deeply the stress of demanding work responsibilities.

So when my husband, Olin, and I decided to purchase a plot of land and begin our own farmstead, I was hesitant. But 14 years later, I can say that moving to Stoney Creek Farm is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

More joy, less stress—this isn’t just the tagline for our Dirt Rich book… it is truly what I feel each and every day.

Sustainable living helps your wallet.

Sustainable living practices can help your wallet, too.

Olin and I have both been able to retire debt-free. With today’s rising living costs, that’s not always a viable reality for people.

But by choosing a sustainable lifestyle, we’ve been able to avoid debt. This gives us the freedom to run our own business, do the things we love, and travel whenever we feel like it.

Sustainable living helps the world.

We don’t need to tell you the crisis our natural world is facing: rising global temperatures, millions of pounds of trash produced each year, resources that are being depleted…

It is the responsibility of every single one of us to take care of this beautiful world we’ve been blessed with. Sustainable living is all about making decisions that have minimal impact on our environment.

Choosing a sustainable lifestyle can have a POWERFUL impact on your life—for the better.

That’s why we hope you’ll join us for our flagship educational program: the Spring Sustainable Farm Conference.

Nothing quite compares to gathering together with a group of passionate individuals looking to live their own sustainable living dreams for an entire day of learning and community.

We spend the day giving our attendees hands-on lessons on sustainable living & homesteading basics. But more than that, we connect and form long-lasting friendships with the people who spend a day on the farm with us during this one-day conference.

Dream Until Your Dreams Come True: Christina’s Story

One story in particular has stood out for me over the last year.

I will let Christina tell her story:

“I was born and raised in a small town in Indiana. I lived for 30 years, however, in the city of Virginia Beach, Va. Four years ago I lost my husband to cancer.

I had to figure out what I was going to do with the rest of my life. I’ve always been a country girl at heart, and I decided to make my way back home to Indiana. I reconnected with my first love from when I had lived in Indiana before. He, too, is a country boy at heart.

So, here we are, in our late 40s early 50s starting all over again in this new season of our lives.

With much hope, lots of ideas, and not a clue as to how to get started, we bought a beautiful 14 acre farm in Seymour, Indiana. Our piece of heaven on earth! Now what?

After attending the Stoney Creek Annual Farm Conference, we were SO encouraged by Leigh and Olin! Here was a couple that had been so much like us—wanting to leave the rat race of the real world and live more simply on their own farm while being able to sustain themselves financially. And they were doing it! We wanted to come home with something concrete that we could start implementing NOW!

We came home with a whole LIST of ideas! We not only met some incredibly awesome people that day, in Leigh and Olin, but I count them as our mentors now. I know we can ask them questions. I know they are there for advice. We consider them a lifeline for us now!

When it comes to sustainable, simple living… we know who to turn to! We want excellence and integrity and success in our venture; thanks to the knowledge Leigh and Olin have shared and being a part of a community of like-minded folks, we believe we will taste success.

If you are like us and want to live differently than what this world tries to say you must… what are you waiting for? With Leigh and Olin’s Dirt Rich resources, you can DREAM UNTIL YOUR DREAM COMES TRUE!”

When Christina sent this to me, it brought tears to my eyes!

This is exactly why we work tirelessly to share everything we’ve learned about sustainable living with you.

Join us for our Spring Sustainable Farm Conference.
