DESCRIPTION:Culinary Herb Class with Judy Felts\nSaturday\, June 24\, 2023\, 10 am – 12 noon\nCost:  $40 which includes instruction\, recipes\, and tastings\n\n\n\n\nJudy Felts will be teaching you how to grow\, harvest\, and cook with fresh herbs.  You will see culinary demonstrations and samples for you to taste.   You will go away from this class with recipes that you can use in your everyday meal planning.  Judy is a member of the Herb Society of Nashville and the Herb Society of America.  She  served as Chairman of the Herb Society of Nashville in 2020- 2022 and presently serves as Past Chair.    \n  \nBio \nJudy Felts moved to Nashville in 1980 to pursue a music career as a performer at Opryland USA and later traveled with Grand Ole Opry Star Bill Anderson a backup singer and keyboard player.  Judy graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in Music Education.  She later pursued graduate studies at Auburn University and Middle TN State University.  She taught high school music for 6 years.  She has sung for numerous churches\, women’s conferences\, special events\, and mission organizations.  She has traveled to over 15 foreign countries.  \nShe presently serves on the board for Community Resource Board for the TN Prison for Women.   Since 1999\, she has served as a volunteer at the TN Prison for Women facilitating a Friday night worship service.  In 2016 Judy started a non-profit organization called “Oak Cottage for Women\,” a transition home for women coming out of prison.  The home opened in Franklin\, TN in June 2020.  A second home will be opening by the end of 2021.   Judy is actively involved in her community.  For the last 10 years\, she has been involved in the Herb Society of Nashville and is presently serving as the Chairman.   She is a member of the Franklin Noon Rotary and the Williamson County Chamber and she is active in her church at Christ Presbyterian and is a member of the choir.  \nAlso\, she presently serves as Past Chairman of the Herb Society of Nashville.  Judy and her husband are both  Master Gardeners and Judy speaks for numerous garden organizations on growing and cooking with Herbs.  Judy also loves bread making and offers classes on making bread.   \nJudy has been married to Mike Felts for 39 years and they have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.  Since 1999\, Judy and Mike have been active in real estate and are both Real Estate Brokers.  Judy serves as the Managing Broker for RE/MAX Choice Properties in Brentwood\, TN.  \nIn addition to Judy’s solo ministry\, she also performs with Lee Porter as a duo.  They have performed together for the last 16 years and are available for churches\, conferences and events.  \nADDITIONAL WORKSHOPS: \n“Planted By God”   Spiritual lessons learned from the garden. \n“Master Weaver”  How our stories fit in into God’s bigger plan. \n“We’re All Broken\, but Next is the Beautiful”  God’s redemption and love for the Broken Hearted.   Our Journey of Faith. \nFun classes: \nStarting an Herb Garden \nBREAD MAKING with fresh ground flour/ herbs\, etc.  Judy has been teaching classes in bread making for several organizations including The Herb Society of Nashville and several local farm seminars.  She has a Domestic Kitchen license and bakes fresh bread for a local grocery store.  She teaches how to use fresh ground flour in bread making along with the nutritional benefits of freshly baked bread using various kinds of wheat & other grains.  In addition\, she can teach a class on Growing\, Preserving\, and Cooking with fresh Herbs.

DESCRIPTION:Stoney Creek Farm Summer Camps\nNew Adventure Camp June 26-30\nThe 2023 Farm Summer Camps are limited to 30 kids per week so they will receive an outstanding and personalized experience! Each morning from 9 am – 12 noon\, campers will be experiencing either nature or farm topics\, then at 12 noon they will be eating the sack lunch they will bring from home. After lunch\, they will experience Old Fashioned Summertime Fun with outside water play\, kites\, hula-hoops and so much more!  We added a new camp week of June 26-30 called ADVENTURE CAMP! \nFull -Nature Camp June 12 – 16 Ages 6-10    Full\, but send an email to cori.williams@gmail.com to be on the waitlist for Nature Camp if there are cancellations.\nExplore with us in the woods around the farm and learn about trees\, bugs\, wildlife\, creek critters\, and more! Create nature crafts and keep a nature journal throughout the week. \nFull-Farm Camp June 19 – 23 Ages 6-10\nLearn about farm animals\, gardening\, beneficial bugs\, composting\, and more through this hands-on adventure camp. Each day includes craft time and nature exploration. \nNEW – Adventure Camp June 26 – 30 Ages 6-10\nThis camp is FULL of Adventures in Nature!  Dive into exploration and the world of microbiology.  Kids will be able to view nature specimens with a microscope and hunt for all types of treasures on our 15-acre farm.
