DESCRIPTION:Glorious Goldenrod\nSeptember 30\, 2023\nRescheduled for October 14\, 2023\n10 – 11:30 am\nCost $25 per person\n\n\n\n\nLearn all about this edible and medicinal plant\, which sometimes falsely gets blamed for Fall allergies.  Taste goldenrod tea and make an herbal salve to take home. \nGoldenrod is a common name for many species of flowering plants in the sunflower family.  Learn all there is to know about this beneficial plant in this fun-filled 1.5-hour class for all ages and abilities! \nAbout the Teacher \n \n  \nCori Williams is a lifelong learner who enjoys sharing her LOVE of God\, Nature\, and Sustainable\nLiving with everyone she meets! You can often find her exploring in the woods\, hiking in the\nmountains\, or getting her hands dirty in the garden. As a certified preschool teacher\, she most\nrecently served as the Assistant Director of the First Presbyterian Preschool Program in Franklin\, TN.\nCori studied Early Childhood Special Education at Vanderbilt University and Early Childhood\nDevelopment at Nashville State. During her time at Vanderbilt\, she received the prestigious Peabody\nInnovation Award for developing a program to help poor inner-city families. She worked for the\nKidTalk Project serving area Head Start centers as a behavior and language interventionist. Other\ncareers have included Graphic Artist at a local financial institution for over 10 years\, and manager of a\nlocal animal shelter. Cori is a certified Tennessee Naturalist and currently serves on the board of the\nTennessee Naturalist Program. She and her 11-year-old son are native Nashvillians and are\nconstantly seeking new opportunities and adventures!
